Blueberry pancakes at Bob Murray’s Doghouse
After the night shift
Pineapple milkshakes at the Copper Kettle
On our day off
Southern Comfort Sours at the Gold Coin
I was underage
Relaxing in the Marine Room after hours
Close to Cody’s Corner
The Who at the Coliseum
Getting up to mischief after the show
Star Wars debut at the UA 150
Fifty dollars offered for our tickets – we said no
It was near 5 th and Pine on a warm spring day
When we decided to become one
Friedlander’s being close
We left with wallets and hearts lighter
Two lives lived entwined
For better angels and worse
Nearly fifty years gone by
And gone too soon by half
